In response to the severe damage caused by natural disasters, the Prime Minister launched the Quang Trung Campaign with the objective of rapidly and effectively repairing damaged houses, ensuring that people have safe shelters to worship their ancestors, celebrate the Lunar New Year (Tet), and welcome the New Year 2026. Under the close direction of the Government, ministries, sectors, local authorities, and the armed forces are urgently supporting affected communities in repairing and rebuilding homes and restoring livelihoods and production.
Numerous support programs, solidarity convoys, and essential relief items continue to be delivered to disaster-affected areas, vividly demonstrating the Vietnamese tradition of national solidarity and mutual assistance—‘the strong helping the weak.’
In this spirit, the Viet Nam Red Cross Society launches the nationwide “Million Gifts for a Humanitarian Tet” Campaign from 22 December 2025 to 5 February 2026, joining the State in caring for disadvantaged people, persons with disabilities, the elderly living alone, orphans, and communities affected by natural disasters during Tet.
The Viet Nam Red Cross Society calls upon agencies, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and the public to accompany the Campaign through financial and in-kind contributions. With the joint efforts of the entire political system and the community, the ‘One Million Gifts for a Humane Tet’ Campaign aims to help vulnerable people celebrate Tet in a warm, safe, and caring atmosphere, thereby strengthening confidence and providing added motivation for communities to recover, stabilize their lives, and rebuild after disasters.
