According to the plan, the whole National Society will try its effort to provide assistance with 1.5 million Tet gifts, each gift has a value of at least 500,000 VND, including in-cash and in-kind, for the poor, people with disabilities, the lonely elderly, orphans, people in difficult circumstances and people affected by natural disasters. The total value of mobilization and support resources is expected to reach at least 750 billion VND.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society will organize at least 10 “Tet of Humanity” programs at the central level, each program will give 1,000 gifts, worth at least 1,000,000 VND/gift, in localities with difficult socio-economic conditions, heavily affected by natural disasters in 2025 such as Da Nang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Hue, Ninh Binh, Quang Ngai and Lam Dong. At the provincial level, each provincial/city chapter organizes at least one “Tet of Humanity” program, giving at least 500 gifts, worth from 500,000 VND/gift. 34 provinces/cities of the National Society have set targets, ensuring that 100% of the branches/units of the National Society will focus in resource mobilizations and provide assistance to vulnerable groups on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
The new highlight of the “Lunar New Year” movement in 2026 is the organization of the “Lunar New Year” Week at the commune level, which will take place simultaneously from 02/02 to 09/02/2026. Tet of Humanity Week will be a space to connect the community, with many meaningful activities such as giving gifts, wishing Tet, organizing the Tet of Humanity Market, Tet fun activities, folk games, wrapping cakes, painting Tet paintings, contributing to bringing a warm atmosphere and sharing to people right at the grassroots.
The “Tet of Humanity” movement in Spring Binh Ngo in 2026 will be implemented from January 26 to February 10, 2026, in association with 02 resource mobilization campaigns “Million Compassionate Tet gifts” and “Tet for people in flooded areas”. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society calls for the cooperation and companionship of agencies, organizations, businesses, benefactors and the whole society through many forms of flexible mobilization, direct and online, in order to mobilize maximum resources to take care of Tet for the poor and disadvantaged.
