In the afternoon of January 12, 2019, at Hai An District Peoples Committee, Hai Phong Red Cross awarded 1,500 gifts for Tet, worth over VND 178 million on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, sponsored by the Taiwan Trade Association in Hai Phong. The program was attended by Ms. Cao Thi Phuong – Chairwoman of Hai Phong Red Cross, Mr. Tran Uy Minh – Chairman of the Taiwan Trade Association in Hai Phong, Red Cross branches in 14 districts and 75 recipients received gifts directly.

At the ceremony, Hai Phong Red Cross and donors sponsored 75 gifts (1 gift and 200,000 cash directly) to 75 disadvantaged families in Hai An, Le Chan and An Duong districts. The rest of the gifts were handed over to the Red Cross branches of 14 districts for distribution.
It is the 22nd year that the Taiwan Trade Association in Hai Phong joins the Tet program for the poor and agent orange victims of the Red Cross, through the program, the Red Cross Association has supported meaningful gifts and shared difficulties to poor families, disadvantaged families and unfortunate groups in the city.
