Vietnam Red Cross supports US $ 10,000 to assist Indonesians in overcoming the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami.

Nugroho said that to launch a two-year redevelopment and resettlement program scheduled to start in November, Central Sulawesi needs about $ 657 million. Palu, the capital of the central province of Sulawesi, suffered the worst, followed by Sigi, Parigi Mountong and Donggala.

The Indonesian government has agreed to receive international aid. Many governments and international organizations have been carrying out humanitarian relief activities. The Government of Vietnam has supported US $ 100,000. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) issued an International Emergency Appeal to mobilize 22 million Swiss Francs to provide emergency relief to 160,000 people (40,000 households) affected for a period of 20 months. Humanitarian assistance will address the need for housing, livelihoods, basic needs, health, clean water, sanitation, dignity and disaster risk reduction for the people in the affected area.

Vietnam Red Cross has decided to support $ 10,000 from the organisations Emergency Relief Fund to support the Indonesian people affected by the double disaster, through the Appeal of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
