On the occasion of the new year of 2019, the Vietnam Red Cross, Saigon – Hanoi Bank (SHB) and Vietnam Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company (Dai-ichi Life Vietnam) co-awarded 330 bicycles worth nearly VND 500 million for good students in difficult circumstances in the Northern provinces.
330 new bicycles have been donated directly by SHB Bank, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam and Vietnam Red Cross to disadvantaged students in provinces and cities: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh and Tuyen Quang. They are students who are poor students who overcome difficulties, achieve high achievements in learning as well as participate actively in the movement of the school.

Representatives of the school leaders, parents and students were deeply moved, thankful for the good feelings, extremely meaningful gifts of the two businesses. Happy when receiving a new bike, Bui Thanh Huong (Thai Long Secondary School, Tuyen Quang province) shared: “I have long dreamed of having a bicycle to go to school, today that dream came true, I feel very happy to receive this meaningful gift. ”
The bicycle donation program is one of many meaningful activities in the program “SHB shares love and light the future”, implemented by SHB Bank in the whole system in the past time. “We look forward to the new bikes that will help children shorten the distance from home to school, partly to help parents and children to reduce difficulties and at the same time motivate them to continue to strive and learn, soon becoming the future owners of the country ”- SHB General Director Mr. Nguyen Van Le said.
Accompanying with SHB in this meaningful event, Mr. Tran Dinh Quan – General Director of Vietnam Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company and Chairman of the Fund “For a beautiful life” shared: “We are very happy as humanitarian activities always receive the unanimous support and enthusiastic participation of many employees of the company as well as partners, including SHB bank. Although the bike is not a great gift, from now on, the road to their class is more convenient, many “flowers” of score 10 will be able to bloom on the page. We and the SHB want this program to continue to spread throughout the North and across the country so that more disadvantaged students will be able to access the school.”
Child care, education and protection is one of the social security areas that SHB focuses on. Investing in young people, especially children with special difficulties, significantly contributing to the preparation and improvement of the quality of human resources to serve the countrys sustainable development and international integration, therefore, towards the implementation of social security activities for children, it will become one of the social responsibilities that SHB has been and will be implemented in parallel with the process of building and developing business.
