In 1950, the first youth volunteer team of 215 people was formed in the Viet Bac War Zone. Since the country was completely unified in 1975, especially since the renovation, economic development of many components, the implementation of open policies, the volunteer movement has developed and diversified.
As a result, the movement has attracted more and more people. The content of the movement has been extended to all areas of economic and social life and focused on urgent tasks such as demining, reclamation and construction of new economic zones. , afforestation, environmental protection, hunger elimination and poverty alleviation, cultural and economic development in deep-lying and remote areas, eradication of illiteracy, assistance for the disabled, orphans. For many young people, volunteerism has become an indispensable part of life. Helping others, sharing a difficult part with those who need help is a beautiful act of the youth.
