On November 24, the delegation of Vietnam Red Cross led by President Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu – Member of National Assembly visited and encouraged the families of the victims died by recent typhoon and landslide in Khanh Hoa. Vietnam Red Cross also directly grants cash to Khanh Hoa people.
President Thu exchanged with local authorities and directed the Red Cross organisations at all levels to actively mobilize resources, distribute relief money to the people; assess damage and need, prevent diseases, provide clean water and sanitation after the typhoon No. 8 and 9.
At the Office of Peoples Committee of Phuoc Dong Ward in Nha Trang City, Vietnam Red Cross donated cash and relief items to local authorities and Red Cross Branch with VND 124 million in cash and 10 boxes of household kits.
The Red Cross Social Security Center donated VND 48 million in cash; Businessman singer Lam Hieu Ngoc donated VND 48 million to households affected by the recent landslide in Nha Trang
