She holds an Advanced Degree in Political Theory and academic qualifications including a PhD in Political Economy, a Master\u2019s degree in Public Management, and a Bachelor\u2019s degree in English.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_34150\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-34150\" style=\"width: 5060px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-34150\" src=\"https:\/\/redcross.org.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/13.-IMG_0160.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5060\" height=\"3245\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-34150\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mdm Do Thi Thu Thao, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, presented \u201cTet for Humanity 2026\u201d gifts in Dong Thap Province<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With more than 25 years of service, she rose through the ranks from grassroots Youth Union positions at the commune level and at Chau Thanh District Youth Union in Ben Tre Province. She has held many key leadership positions at both local and central levels, including Secretary of Cho Lach District Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the People\u2019s Council of Ben Tre Province, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Women\u2019s Union.<\/p>\n<p>Currently serving as President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, she and the Society\u2019s leadership have focused on innovating operational methods and effectively implementing humanitarian and social welfare programmes nationwide, thereby reinforcing the Society\u2019s role and standing in the new context.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her continuous service across various positions within the political system, she has gained extensive practical experience in Party building, mass mobilization, and organizational management.
