Meriguet shared his views on the Party’s historical importance, the strategic impact of this Congress, and the valuable lessons that Viet Nam’s development path offers to the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

He emphasised that the CPV’s leadership role has been the decisive factor in the cause of building, defending, and developing the country throughout Viet Nam\u2019s modern history. He asserted that after leading the Vietnamese people to achieve full independence, defeat colonialism, fascism, and imperialism, reunify the country, and embark on the cause of building an \u201cincreasingly prosperous and beautiful Viet Nam,\u201d it has continued to affirm its position as the central force uniting and guiding the entire nation.<\/p>\n

From his perspective as a Latin American political activist, Meriguet emphasised that this historical legitimacy, national cohesion and the solid ideological foundation rooted in Marxism\u2013Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought that have endowed the CPV with the distinctive capacity to lead the Doi moi (Renewal) process, develop modern productive forces, ensure social welfare, and enhance Viet Nam\u2019s role and standing on the international stage.<\/p>\n

Regarding the 14th Congress, Meriguet considered it a pivotal event for Viet Nam’s future in the new era. He said that implementing the policies adopted at this Congress will guarantee the protection of the country’s independence, autonomy, and right to self-determination in the coming years.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted the Congress’s motto “Solidarity \u2013 Democracy \u2013 Discipline \u2013 Breakthrough \u2013 Development,” which he sees as a fusion of revolutionary tradition and a modern development mindset.<\/p>\n

He expressed confidence that Viet Nam will continue to maintain high and sustainable economic growth, achieve an advanced level of industrialisation, gradually eradicate poverty, and raise per-capita income to upper-middle level by 2030 and high-income status by 2045. He also believed that the 14th Congress would prioritise key areas such as science and technology, innovation, digital development, culture, environmental protection and renewable energy, thereby laying a solid foundation for long-term development.<\/p>\n

In the current geopolitical context, Meriguet stated that the CPV will face challenges in an environment marked by the decline of the unipolar order, strategic competition among major powers, and disruptions in global supply chains. According to him, protectionist measures adopted by some major countries are creating significant uncertainty for the global economy; however, with its experience, resilience, and sound policy orientation, Viet Nam is fully capable of overcoming these challenges.<\/p>\n

He also underlined that Viet Nam\u2019s strong development in the years ahead will not only be of national significance, but also make an important contribution to safeguarding peace, promoting cooperation and fostering peaceful coexistence among nations worldwide.<\/p>\n

He praised Viet Nam’s pure internationalist spirit and its exemplary role in building national unity. In his view, at a time when humanity is facing many serious challenges, strengthening coordination among communist and workers\u2019 parties, as well as peace-loving and progressive forces opposed to fascism and imperialism, is of vital importance to safeguarding peace, human dignity, and national sovereignty.<\/p>\n

He affirmed that progressive forces from Ecuador and across Latin America continue to follow closely, value and support the path chosen by Viet Nam, regarding the success of the 14th Congress not only as a victory for Viet Nam, but also as a source of inspiration and hope for revolutionary and progressive movements worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
