She said that relief work is being implemented in two directions: Emergency assistance immediately after disasters and post-flood recovery and reconstruction \u2013 a sustainable approach. Recovery activities include building and repairing houses, supporting livelihoods, and assisting children to return to school\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Assessing the current situation, Ms. Thao noted: \u201cBasic food needs in the areas have now been partly met. Therefore, we call for continued joint support, aiming at other essential supplies such as blankets, bedding, medicines, and school materials for students, especially financial resources to help restore livelihoods for people\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

She added that the Vietnam Red Cross Society is actively coordinating with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to mobilize additional resources for post-disaster recovery activities. Ms. Thao affirmed that the position of the Vietnam Red Cross Society is not only a place to receive assistance but also a place to provide support. Many international humanitarian activities, including aid provided to the people of Cuba and other countries, clearly demonstrate the humanitarian spirit and the high sense of international responsibility of the Vietnamese people.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
