The delegation donated 200 gifts, each worth VND 400,000, including: 10 kg of rice, 1 carton of instant noodles, 1 bottle of cooking oil, blankets, drapes, 0.5 kg of MSG, 1 kg of sugar, .. . for 200 poor ethnic minority households and leprosy patients in Ia Chia commune. In addition, the delegation also presented candy and fresh milk to 50 children in Ia Chia commune. Total value of gifts over VND 80 million is sponsored by Buddhists of Bao Son Pagoda and Lien Hoa Pagoda and benefactors in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the gift presentation, Mr. Rah Lan Gau – Vice Chairman of Ia Chia Peoples Committee on behalf of the Party Committee, Peoples Committee, Peoples Council and Commune Fatherland Front Committee thanked the provincial Red Cross and donors. At the same time, Ia Chia is a poor commune of Ia Grai district with 1,823 households, including 268 poor households and 215 near poor households, 12 households with leprosy patients, the rate of ethnic minorities is high, thanks to the support of donors, poor relatives, the leprosy patients of the commune have received meaningful gifts, helping people have more motivation to rise in life.
