THE INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS AND RED CRESCENT MOVEMENT
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is the world's largest humanitarian network made up of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the National Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Its mission is to alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity.
International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent organized every 4 years which brings different members of the Movement and representatives of the states party to the Geneva Conventions, the General Assembly which is made up of delegates from all member National Societies, and the Council of Delegates which brings together National Societies, the International Federation and the ICRC every 2 years are the highest coordination mechanisms to set the Movement's humanitarian agenda.
