Vietnam Red Cross Society is a public humanitarian organization established on November 23, 1946 by Ho Chi Minh, the late President of the State of Vietnam, who was also the first Honorary President of the National Society in 23 years. The Vietnam Red Cross Society has been recognized a member of the Vietnam's Fatherland Front and a member of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
