Vietnam Red Cross and Vietnam Post Corporation: Program signing brings values for humanitarian activities

In the afternoon of March 26, Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) and Vietnam Red Cross held a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between the two organizations. The cooperation aims to maximize the strengths of each party, contributing to bringing common values and benefits to the society, especially in humanitarian activities, supporting the poor.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the Vietnam Red Cross, there were Assoc. Prof. PhD. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu - President; Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh - Vice President, General Secretary; Ms. Tran Thi Hong An - Vice President of the Central Association; Mr. Tran Quoc Hung - Vice President.

The two sides agreed on many coordination contents such as cooperation in building database; Communication cooperation; Cooperation in organization and deployment of humanitarian social activities; Vietnam Post to provide delivery services for Vietnam Red Cross; The Vietnam Post to provides postal financial services and other products and services for the organization and its members; Cooperation in transporting cash, humanitarian goods ...

Under the cooperation agreement, Vietnam Post will support the Vietnam Red Cross to collect information, create an electronic humanitarian database and other operational data within the framework of the Scheme "Developing Vietnamese digital knowledge system"; At the same time, manage and update the database periodically at the request of Vietnam Red Cross.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, President Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu of the Vietnam Red Cross shared: Over the years, Vietnam Red Cross has organized many practical activities, bringing deep humanistic meaning, attracting the participation of more and more organizations, benefactors and people. Humanitarian work and red cross activities of staff and members of Vietnam Red Cross have actively contributed to assisting people in difficult circumstances, families under preferential treatment policy and victims of Agent Orange, people in areas affected by natural disasters. Humanitarian movements were initiated and implemented by the organization with a national scale, supporting tens of millions of people. Having these results, there is a great participation and contribution of staff and employees of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications sector.

At the same time, it contributes to bring the common values ​​and benefits to the society, creating conditions to expand the scope and scale of business for the units of Vietnam Post and for Red Cross staff, members and volunteers to increase income through programs and cooperation contents. This is also the bridge between those who face difficulties with aid organizations and units. The cooperation between the two organizations will bring great benefits in humanitarian activities, mutual support, mutual affection directly linked to the poor, Agent Orange victims or people in natural disasters ... On the occasion of Humanitarian Month and launching the Movement "Tet for the Poor and Agent Orange victims".

Vietnam Post Corporation has mobilized staff, civil servants and public employees of the Corporation to support resources and participate in humanitarian social activities launched by the two parties. Each year, the Red Cross houses for the humanitarian addresses have been introduced by the Vietnam Red Cross in the Campaign "Every organization and every individual is associated with a humanitarian address".

Coordination in mobilization of voluntary blood donation and building voluntary blood donation clubs in the postal network; Mobilize staff, civil servants and officials to register for humanitarian donation of body organs. Vietnam Post Corporation will consider and support the Vietnam Red Cross to transfer cash and humanitarian relief goods free of charge to beneficiaries in programs of disaster relief and emergency disaster. At the same time, handing over cash and goods to the humanitarian addresses of the Humanitarian Address Bank being coordinated and managed by both parties.
