On January 5th, 2019, at Dai Bi Pagoda (Thanh Hoa City), the Steering Committee for the Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign in Thanh Hoa Province, the Board of Governors of the Vietnam Buddhist Church in Thanh Hoa, the Club of Propaganda and Mobilization of Voluntary Blood Donation held "Launching Ceremony of campaign to donate blood for the Lunar New Year and the Red Spring Festival of 2019".
Attending the meeting were: Mr. Do Trong Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ms.Trinh Thi Tiep, Chairwoman of Thanh Hoa Red Cross Chapter, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation in Thanh Hoa province and leaders of departments, agencies; 22 agencies, units and enterprises in Thanh Hoa province participate in blood donation.

Through promoting communication on the mass media, so at the Launching Ceremony, the Red Spring Festival of 2019 attracted more than 1,000 people from agencies, units, people and many volunteers participate in blood donation. At the end of the program, the Organization Board received 568 blood units. It is known that Thanh Hoa is one of 37 provinces and cities across the country to organize the 2019 Red Spring Festival and this is the 6th time Thanh Hoa province participated in this meaningful event.

In 2018, the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated with districts, towns and cities to organize 60 communication events and large typical blood donations such as: Red Spring Festival, Red blood drops campaign, Red Journey ... Thereby receiving 24,848 blood units - the highest number ever, contributing in time to respond in the emergency and treatment for patients at provincial hospitals.
