In the afternoon of January 3rd, Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee and Red Cross Chapter held a conference to summarize the 10-year implementation of the Campaign "Each organization and individual is associated with a humanitarian address" and reviewed Red Cross work, voluntary blood donation campaign in 2018, set out tasks in 2019.
Attending the Conference were: Dr. Tran Quoc Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam Red Cross, Mr. Bui Quang Cam, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation campaign and leaders of departments, agencies, districts and cities.

In the period of 2008-2018, the Red Cross Association at all levels in Ha Nam province did a good job in advising the committees and authorities, coordinating with agencies, departments, unions to mobilize resources to help supporting poor families and vulnerable people in society. The province has provided sustainable and regular support for 10,784 beneficiaries worth VND 27.56 billion, coordinating with individual organizations, benefactors and committees, and local authorities to grant 485 houses with value from 30-50 million VND per house, support over 600 breeding cows for more than 600 poor households with a total value of over 9 billion VND. The model of raising piggy in the schools has been implemented extensively, in the last 8 years, it has collected more than 5 billion VND, helping thousands of disadvantaged students. Other models: Model of supporting savings book, porridge pot, and placing "Charity Box" are implemented effectively and practically by all levels.
In the coming time, the Red Cross Association at all levels will continue to improve the effectiveness of humanitarian activities, provide timely and practical assistance to poor households, people with disabilities and particularly difficult victims of Agent Orange in the community, striving to introduce 70 address records that have been surveyed to potential donors, improve the quality of activities, affirm the core bridging and coordination role in humanitarian work.
In 2019, Ha Nam Red Cross Chapter set a goal: To mobilize and coordinate to donate 20,000 Tet gifts to poor households and policy families for the Lunar New Year in 2019. 100% of district-level association have Red Cross volunteer team; Each district and city Red Cross mobilized to donate at least 10 baby cows to the cow bank program. Advising and directing the completion of exceeding the voluntary blood donation target. Coordinating with donors to build 1,600 new houses for poor households with a support level of 30-40 million VND per house.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Tran Quoc Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam Red Cross and Mr. Bui Quang Cam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and acknowledged the results achieved by the associations at all levels. He requested that all levels of the association should take the initiative in advising the committees and authorities to direct the implementation of the contents of the implementation plan of Directive No. 18 of the Prime Minister on "Improving the effectiveness of humanitarian work and Red Cross activities in the new situation".

On this occasion, 62 collectives and 92 individuals had outstanding achievements in the 10 years of implementing the campaign as well as the Red Cross work on voluntary blood donation and movement in 2018 were awarded by the Vietnam Red Cross Center and the Provincial People's Committee, and the National Institute of Blood Transfusion.
