Club "Giving hope": Helping two difficult cases

On the morning of March 26, the Club "Giving hope" (Soc Trang Red Cross Chapter) visited 2 difficult cases in An My and An Lac Tay communes, Ke Sach district, Soc Trang province.

The first case of the visit was Nguyen Thanh Sang, 22 years old, in An Hoa hamlet, An Lac Tay commune. After returning from the army, Sang went to work as a worker in Can Tho City to support his younger sister who was studying at the Can Tho University in the field of Land Management. On the 30th day of the Lunar New Year, on the way to go home to celebrate Tet, unfortunately, there was a traffic accident which caused him to fracture his chin area. The family ran all over the place to operate for him, now he has to remove the jaw but the family has not enough conditions to take care of him. Le Thi Nhuong (Sang's mother) confided: "The two children are very kind hearted, know the poor situation, so he gave up the opportunity to continue studying for his sister. Before the accident, Sang spared his savings to his mother and raised his sister to study, he really loved his parents.

Knowing the difficult situation of the family, the Club "Giving hope" donated 13 million VND to help the family have more expenses for re-examination and treatment for Sang.

Say goodbye to Sang's family, we stopped at Cau Sap in Phung An village, An My commune to find our way to Mr. Pham Thanh Toan's house (47 years old) and his wife Pham Thi Thu Thuy (43 years old). Mr. Toan is currently suffering from end-stage lung cancer being treated at 30/4 Hospital in Soc Trang. And his wife suffering from 3-leaf stenosis heart disease has been weakening for many years. The eldest son had to leave school early to work to earn money to support his parents and young daughter, who was only 10 years old, sick parents had to ask parents in laws to look after their children. Compassion for a family with 2 sick people, Ms. Tran Viet Sieu, Vice Chairman of the Club, presented the total amount of VND 15,150,000. This is the contribution of the Club and local sponsors to contribute to sharing the burden with the family.
